Lucifer Morningstar returns for the fifth and penultimate season of Lucifer on Netflix. This season will include at least one episode that is unlike anything the series has done before. A new trailer reveals that another member of Lucifer’s family will also appear this season. Tom Ellis will shoot double duty in the fifth season of Lucifer. He’s back as Lucifer Morningstar, but he also plays Lucifer’s twin brother Michael. Michael has a grudge against Lucifer and plans to usurp Lucifer’s life on the deadly plane in return. Before his departure, Inspector Chloé Decker (Lauren German) told Lucifer that she loved him. Regarding their relationship, Henderson said in an interview that “we asked ourselves: for the last season, what do we want to happen between Lucifer and Chloe? What haven’t we explored or explained yet? And we tried to get it all in season five. ”
The fifth season of Lucifer begins with the Morningstar still trapped in hell, Finally, the other brother of Lucifer Amenadiel (played by DB Woodside, who will be back in the last season of the series) visits him with an urgent question. The fifth season of Lucifer includes a special episode in black style. This experience was born from Netflix commanding six additional episodes of the season.
“When we went from 10 to 16, [at] we first said, “How do we do that?” But literally in three days, we said to ourselves, “How could we have told the story without these stories? “Said Henderson in an interview. It was great because he ended up giving us such an opportunity to explore Lucifer in a first version of himself. In addition, the great pleasure of the Princess bride device is, as it tells the story, it basically puts there the characters that we know and love. He replaces a tough detective with Chloé Decker [German], another character with Dan Espinoza [Kevin Alejandro]. The fun is knowing who Lucifer chooses to be who and what it says about how he sees them. [It’s] It’s also great fun to see actors playing roles very different from what we are used to. ”
Lucifer Season 5 will air on Netflix on August 21.
