The winner of Love Island, 22, described the upcoming release of her first single – a cover of the classic Artful Dodger Movin ‘Too Fast -‘ as a total dream come true ‘.

Scottish singer who dated Grammy-nominated artist Lewis Capaldi, 23, collaborated with The House & Garage Orchestra and New State Records for the song, which will be released on July 17.

Speaking of this exciting news, Paige said: “Since leaving Villa Love Island, I have been working on original songs but wanted to start playing music as soon as possible.

“During the lockdown, the opportunity to release one of my favorite tracks with an arrangement of 36-piece instruments was a total dream come true.

“I also discovered that Robyn S (whose song I sang in the villa) had collaborated with The House & Garage Orchestra, so the record contract was really a fate!

“We have chosen a tempo song which, I hope, will become the anthem of well-being this summer! said Paige, who is in a relationship with fellow Love Islander Finley Tapp.

The announcement of her recording contract comes after the public had anticipated that Paige would be out of music, after her captivating performance of the club classic Robyn S Show Me Love in the Love Island villa earlier this year.

Paige’s incredible vocal ability was first broadcast on television in 2012 when she played on Britain’s Got Talent.

Commenting on Paige’s first single, NewState Music said, “After hearing Paige singing Show Me Love in January, we knew she had incredible talent, so we were 100% on board to collaborate.

“We are always looking for new talented musicians and we knew that Movin ‘Too Fast would suit Paige’s voice perfectly.

The House & Garage Orchestra was created in 2015 by longtime friends, music producer Shy Cookie (producer of UKG legend DJ Luck and MC Neat) and event promoter Ishmael Hamilton.

Paige and Lewis went out together after meeting at the university in their late teens before their rise to fame, Paige now hanging out with fellow Love Island winner Finn Tapp.

The former couple while they were both studying music at New College Lanarkshire in 2014 and they were together until 2016.

Earlier this year, the BRIT winner Lewis explained that he had written the 2017 single Bruises about Paige, with the heartfelt ballad reaching number six on the British charts.

He said, “Everyone thinks that someone you loved is about Paige, it’s actually bruises, and a bunch of other songs on the album that talk about [her]. ‘

The music star went to reveal that he found it strange to see his former lover on television, but that they remain in excellent condition.
