Loss spoilers for August 1

Loss spoilers follow.

Next week on Victim, Faith and Lev receive more devastating news about Luka, Jacob suffers a painful loss and Rosa is finally back.

Here are the nine greatest moments to watch out for …

1. Lev and Faith receive more devastating news

Next week’s episode will explore the aftermath of tonight’s heartbreaking scenes, in which Faith told Dylan that Luka’s cancer was now incurable.

Luka, Faith and Lev’s seven-year-old son, was diagnosed with a brain tumor earlier this year, but so far had undergone chemotherapy in an attempt to reduce it.

Having been honest with Lev about Luka’s prognosis, Faith joins her unstable husband for Luka’s last treatment date. But after learning that Luka was not eligible for more specific therapy, Lev and Faith struggle to agree on the best course of action.

2. Lev seeks distraction elsewhere

Devastated by Luka’s news, Lev shuts Faith up again and becomes even more furious when he thinks his colleagues are gossiping about his family’s tragic situation.

After a few truths at Dylan’s house, Lev struggles to cope with his emotions and seeks a distraction away from the hospital.

3. Jacob prepares for the biggest day of his career

Next week’s episode is important to Jacob, as he prepares for the biggest moment of his career yet.

Following Charlie’s big decision to quit, Jacob hopes to become his successor as a nurse clinician manager, but has a grueling interview to go first.

While it should be a simple process on paper, Jacob is in a panic when Connie informs him that his interview has been brought forward, meaning he doesn’t have time to prepare. As Jacob rushes to get ready, he ignores a call from Nate …

4. Jacob struggles with his responsibilities

After his interview, Jacob is horrified when Nate is brought to the emergency room with breathing problems, falling outside a pharmacy.

As reality dawns on him, Jacob feels guilty when he remembers that he should have taken Nate’s medication as soon as the interview is over.

Furious with himself, Jacob promises to call Nate’s sister, Tina, from Oncology, where she works. But despite his worries for Nate, Jacob quickly finds himself drawn in different directions to treat patients and never manages to call Tina.

5. Rash has a little faith

accident week 11

With Lev nowhere, Faith applies a different coping mechanism and uses her medical experience to seek a solution elsewhere.

After exhausting all options for other treatments for Luka, Faith finds renewed hope when Rash approaches her and mentions a treatment called proton beam therapy which he studied earlier in his career.

Grateful for Rash’s support, Faith passes her findings on to the consultant, who agrees to examine it for her.

6. Jacob suffers a devastating loss

Despite his best intentions to support Nate, Jacob is devastated when his friend’s health suddenly takes a turn for the worse. And by the time Tina finally arrived in the ER, Nate sadly passed away.

Distraught, Jacob tells Connie that he failed everyone – his earlier optimism about his interview has long been forgotten.

7. David receives big news

After months without her, David is delighted to hear that his wife Rosa is coming home.

Rosa’s imminent return coincides with an already important day for David, who, like Jacob, is also preparing to take a step forward in his career.

As an excited David tells Marty disapprovingly of his plans to welcome Rosa into his home, he begins to worry about the impact it will have on the strict routine he adheres to in order to manage his bipolar disorder.

Despite his concerns, David lets himself be persuaded by Marty to make a more fun and spontaneous welcome plan. But is this really what Rosa wants? Maybe not …

8. Rosa is back

She’s been off screens for six months, but Rosa will indeed be returning to Holby at the end of next week’s episode.

And it turns out that Rosa doesn’t like spending an extravagant night on the town either, delighting David with his desire for a simple, quieter evening at home with him. Aww.

9. Dylan makes a great discovery

As Dylan struggles with his not-so-secret feelings for Faith, he’ll make a game-changing discovery next week that could turn everything around.

True to his promise to support Faith no matter what, Dylan steps in when he’s tired of Lev’s unfavorable behavior.

With Faith in pieces, Dylan will later be plunged into a huge dilemma when he comes across something that could change everything. But fans will have to wait and see exactly what he finds out and what he does with it …
