Liverpool News and Transfers – Timo Werner ‘replacement’, huge boost from CAN confirmed, Jurgen Klopp ‘lifetime contract’

“Klopp’s mentality and approach are Liverpool down to the ground”

Former Liverpool striker Neil Mellor has commented on the Reds’ transfer potential this summer and who could ultimately succeed Jurgen Klopp as manager.

Mellor scored six goals in 21 first-team appearances between 2002 and 2005, playing a key role in the Champions League victory against Olympiacos in December 2004 which ultimately led the Reds to the glory of Istanbul.

Now a respected media expert, Mellor told GentingBet that he thinks Liverpool will always be looking to strengthen their squad, even if that doesn’t necessarily mean big cash purchases will happen this summer. He said:

Liverpool will always be linked to the players, it’s just the nature of the football club being one of the biggest in the world.

The current group of players is really special and talented and any player that the manager wants to bring must have the talent but he must also have this mentality and this personality to enter the group.

There have been signatures in the past that Klopp have made, and people doubted, but they took Liverpool to the next level.

So we may not see a big name coming to Liverpool, but I think Liverpool will hit the market when they need it and they will be looking to get the right personality and the right player to strengthen the lineup.

Mellor was also asked how he thought he could eventually replace Jurgen Klopp as manager after the German’s Liverpool trip was over, a prospect that no one would stop the Reds’ rivals from enjoying.

The beauty of Liverpool is that no one even considers anyone other than Jurgen Klopp as a manager.

He’s working to bring Liverpool to the next level where he wants to be Liverpool and the club is as happy as it has been for 30 years, this manager in place taking the football club exactly where the fans want it to be .

There is absolutely no question that they want to see someone else come in and take over the football club.

Klopp seems to be Liverpool on the ground, with his mentality and his approach.

It’s at times like this, that fans can really appreciate having someone like your club in charge who connects with the locals.
