Quebec reports 66 new cases of COVID-19 and 24 deaths
Quebec reported 66 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 24 additional deaths on Wednesday.
There are now 55,524 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Quebec. A total of 5,527 people died.
Of the new deaths, seven have been recorded in the past 24 hours, while 17 occurred before June 23 but were not confirmed until Wednesday.
The number of hospitalizations was 422, down 13 from Tuesday.
Of those hospitalized, 33 are in intensive care, five fewer than Tuesday.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wished Canadians a happy Canada Day on his Twitter account Wednesday morning, saying that the coronavirus pandemic has shown “what it means to be Canadian”.
“The past few months have been difficult, no doubt. But throughout this pandemic, we have been there for each other, ”said Trudeau.
“We are neighbors helping neighbors, small businesses being there for their communities and their staff. The military responded to the call to help protect our most vulnerable and the doctors and nurses to keep our families healthy, “he said. “Because that’s what it means to be Canadian. ”
Canada had more than 104,000 confirmed cases and 8,591 deaths on Tuesday.
