Récepteur Hightower Missouri City (Texas) Latrell Neville will play college football in Nebraska. The receiver of the Lone Star State pass announced his plans on Saturday, July 4.
The 6 foot 3 inch 195 lb Neville is # 11 in the hiring of the head coach Scott Frost and his staff in the class of 2021.
« I would say that what suits me best is the way they see me playing in the new offense and the way I was recruited by new coach (Matt) Lubick and coach Frost, “said Neville at 247Sports.
Neville is a former Virginia Tech engagement that reopened the process in June. Nebraska quickly caught fire on the 247Sports crystal ball.
Neville said he considered Florida, Missouri, and West Virginia to be other schools. He published his news on engagement on social networks.
“I want to thank God for giving me the talent to play the game I love at the college level,” Neville wrote on Twitter. “Today marks the start of a new journey in my career with constant prayer and the advice I have received from my friends, family and coaches close to me, this decision would not be possible.
“I would like to thank all the universities and their coaches for believing in me and for giving me the opportunity to pursue my academic and sports career in their establishment. I am eternally grateful.
“That said, after careful consideration, I would like to announce that I will commit and take my talents to the University of Nebraska. “
247Sports National Analyst compares Neville’s game to that of the Gators receiver Trevon Grimes.
« Large frame outdoor receiver with great frame potential relative to position, “wrote Brooks in his review. »Has a large catch radius thanks to the frame. Long-strider that shows adequate top speed above average in the open field. Size and strength are demonstrated by the ability to tackle tackles on the arms for more footage. Shows an encouraging ability to follow the balls in a deep part of the field. Flashes better than expected screen play capacity for further enlargement. Back field play experience.
« Five-gauge power receiver with good physical tools that provide a higher long-term cap. ”
Neville is the second receiver to commit to Frost and his staff this cycle to join Kingsland (Ga.) Camden County wide receiver Shawn Hardy.
Other members of this Nebraska class include four-star offensive hitman Elkhorn South of Omaka, Nebaska Teddy Prochazka, Sioux Falls (SD) Washington, linebacker Randolph Kpai, Miami (Florida) Northwest linebacker outside Patrick Payton, Mount Pleasant (Iowa) High attacking goalkeeper Henry Lutovsky, Los Gatos (California) High outside linebacker Will Schweitzer, Kearney (Neb.) Catholic quarterback Heinrich Haarberg, Buford (Georgia) High ball carrier Gabe Irvin, Grantsville (Utah ) High attacking attacker Brandon Yager and Tabor (Iowa) Fremont-Mills outside linebacker Seth Malcom.
