She spent the weekend celebrating her son Billy’s 11th birthday.
And, on Monday night, Kate Garraway, 53, teased an update on her husband Derek Draper, 52 in the midst of his COVID-19 recovery as she eagerly awaited her next appearance at GMB.
The TV host admitted she had “an emotional few days” by taking to Instagram to again share photos of herself and of co-host Ben Shephard speaking on set.

Kate captioned the collage of photographs, “So I can’t wait to see you all on @GMB tomorrow morning (we’ll lose the weird masks, don’t worry).
“After a few emotional days, I hope you get an update on Derek. See you at 6 a.m. with @benshephardofficial. ”
It comes after Kate thanked her friends Myleene Klass, 42, and Roman Kemp, 27, for helping with her son Billy’s 11th birthday after admitting she “didn’t want to let him down.”
Speaking to Instagram late Saturday night, the GMB host shared a series of videos and photographs as well as lengthy captions to express his gratitude by stating that “Derek will be so proud and happy!” “

“So I was very nervous about Bill’s birthday this year – we usually have a family with grandparents and a few of his friends, but that’s obviously not possible.
“So we see the grandparents separately, but we wanted to do something for him and his friends in the garden.
“Derek is so brilliant at it, running treasure hunts and the boys’ adventures so mentioned to @myleeneklass really didn’t want to let Bill down and did she know anyone with a tent we could borrow just in case she would be wet.
