West did not meet the deadline to appear on the ballot in a number of states, but argued that he could be added as a latecomer due to the coronavirus.
He said he “was going to speak with Jared Kushner, the White House, with Biden” to make his candidacy a reality – although he also criticized the alleged Democratic candidate.
He said, “Special Obama. Special from Trump. We say Kanye West is special. America needs special people to lead. Bill Clinton? Special. Joe Biden is not special. ”
West’s campaign advisers are his wife, television star Kim Kardashian-West, and Tesla founder Elon Musk, both of whom approved of him. Speaking of Musk, West said: “I offered to be responsible for our space program. ”
West said if he were to win – either in 2020 or 2024, the year he had previously hinted that he would run – it would be “the appointment of God.” He praised Donald Trump as “the closest president we have had in years to keep God always part of the conversation.”
West has already expressed support for Trump and wore one of Trump’s Make Trump Great Again caps when he met the President at the Oval Office. “One of the main reasons why I wore the red hat [was] as a protest against the segregation of votes in the black community, “said West. “Aside from the fact that I like the Trump hotels and the saxophones in the lobby. ”
Regarding the development of a Covid-19 vaccine, he said: “It is so many of our children who are vaccinated and paralyzed … So when they say that the way we are going to repair Covid is with a vaccine, I am extremely careful . It is the mark of the beast.
“They want to put fries in us, they want to do all kinds of things so that we can’t go through the gates of heaven.”
West added that Covid-19 was “all about God. We have to stop doing things that make God crazy. ”
He said he may have contracted the disease in February: “Chills, tremors in the bed, hot showers, videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it.” ”
He said he intended to end police brutality, but added that “the police are people too.” He declared that he opposes the death penalty and that he is “pro-life because I am the word of the Bible”.
Regarding education, he said he wanted to restore “the fear and love of God in all schools and organizations” and criticized Black History Month as “pornographic torture”.
He added, “The schools, the infrastructure, were made so that we are not really all that we can be, but to be just good enough to work for the companies that designed the school systems. We are tearing this apart… we are not going to tear up the constitution; what we are going to do is modify.
West’s candidacy has been criticized in some circles as a distraction that could harm Biden’s campaign. West said it was “a form of racism and white supremacy and white control to say that all blacks have to be democrats and to assume that my race is dividing my vote”.
West is also preparing to release its 10th studio album, God’s Country. He released the album’s first single last week, Wash Us in the Blood. He said to Forbes, “I give my album for free,” but did not specify.
