Arizona Old Wildcat Kadeem Allen signed with French club JL Bourg Basket, the team announced on Monday. The team is considered one of the best in France, as it is a member of Pro A, first league in France.
in the 2019-2020 season, Bourg was in 5th place until the season was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During the 2020-2021 season, Bourg will make his European debut playing in the EuroCup.
In June, the Knicks took out Allen. TThe former third-year Wildcat had seen action in 29 games over the past two seasons for the Knicks.
Allen has averaged 5.0 points per game for the team this season after recording 9.9 points per contest in 2018-19 and he’s also averaged 15.8 points per game in the G League over the three last years.
At Arizona, Allen averaged 9.8 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in his senior campaign. As a senior, he was named second team All-Pac-12 and in the All-Defensive team. In its final season, it saw a 5.1 percent increase in field goal percentage of three points from his junior season, which had Arizona’s 41.7 percent mark in the lead.

He also finished the season Tied for fourth in the conference in interceptions at 1.6 steals per game and has been widely regarded as one of the best defensemen in the conference in addition to being the favorite of Arizona head coach Sean Miller.
Allen was drafted by the Celtics in the 2017 NBA Draft and signed the first bilateral franchise contract.
