The Guinea international opened the scoring in a free-goal game by crushing a long-range effort below the crossbar as he continued his good form since the Premier League restart.

Jones came on as a second-half substitute to win his fifth appearance and the Premier League winners’ medal after the game and Klopp highlighted both for improvements they can make ahead of the title defense of the season next.

“Every player who has played now and in the majority of games can improve,” Klopp said.

“It’s the age group they belong to, better decisions in what they do, being better defensively, but we have players who haven’t played a lot for example and Naby is a good example of that.

“Curtis Jones is also a good example. We do not want [the pressure] too big, but it looks ready. So that means we have room and potential for improvement.

“We’re going to work on it but not tonight, of course. Now we have to party, recover and play Newcastle. It would be really nice if we could get 99 and it will be difficult. But whatever? ”

Liverpool end their Premier League campaign at Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.
