Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Orel Hershiser appeared to burn Houston Astros star Jose Altuve during a game between the two teams on Wednesday night.
Altuve struck down in the fifth inning and, given the recent fireworks surrounding the Dodgers and Astros, Hershiser landed a hit at the perfect time.

“It’s harder to guess than to know,” Hershiser told SportsnetLA.

It was a clear photo of the Astros, involved in a cheating scandal in 2017. A Major League Baseball investigation earlier in the year revealed an elaborate plan put in place by the Astros to steal signs and alert players when a brittle bullet came in.
Astros staff were banging on a trash can when they received a sign from a camera set up in the central field of Minute Maid Park. The Dodgers would continue to lose to the Astros in the World Series that year. While executives and coaches were penalized because of the scandal, no active player received any sanction.

Things got worse on Tuesday night when Dodgers pitcher Joe Kelly appeared to pitch on Alex Bregman and Carlos Correa. The benches would be clear but no punches were thrown. Kelly was suspended for eight games on Wednesday, which he decided to appeal.
