Over the weekend, the Los Angeles Clippers goalie entered a 10-day quarantine after visiting an Atlanta gentleman’s living room, hours away from the NBA bubble in Orlando. While Williams is expected to miss the first two games of the league resumption, former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel believes he has some insight into Williams’ decision-making.
“Believe it or not, Magic City chicken wings are the best I’ve ever had,” Manziel replied Sunday to a tweet about Williams.
Williams had an excused absence to leave the Orlando bubble, according to The Athletic, and picked up food at the Atlanta facility. The 33-year-old was seen in an Instagram story on rapper Jack Harlow’s feed, appearing to wear an NBA mask at the strip club.
Harlow deleted the clip and tweeted, “It was an old photo of me and Lou. ”
The last day of quarantine for Williams is next Monday, August 3.
As for Manziel, the former Browns quarterback regularly made headlines for his off court antics during his two years in the NFL. In early 2018, the 27-year-old spoke candidly about his bipolar diagnosis and addiction issues.
He last played in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football league and appears to be struggling with his football days behind him.
