James and Bailly to start – Manchester United fans want to see against Chelsea

Manchester United fans want to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer make five changes to his starting lineup for the FA Cup semifinal on Sunday against Chelsea. The two clubs will take the time of their intense battle for the qualification of the Champions League to compete for a place in the final of next month at Wembley.

United are the form side coming into the game and haven’t lost in 19 games, but there has been a noticeable drop in performance levels in the last two games.

This could probably be attributed to fatigue, Solskjaer having, of course, largely stayed on the same side in the match schedule, but fans would like to see some changes made against Chelsea.

The first of them being between the sticks, with second-choice goalkeeper Sergio Romero keeping his role as cup-keeper in place of regular starter David De Gea.

While supporters would like Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire to keep their places, they want changes elsewhere in defense. First of all, they would like to see Eric Bailly replace Victor Lindelof, who has not been in the best form in recent games, no doubt remembering how the Ivorian played against Chelsea in February.

They would also like to see, if he fully recovers from the bad cut he suffered against Southampton, Brandon Williams returns to the left-back side, despite Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s encouraging display in the victory over Crystal Palace .

Team fans want to see

In midfield, supporters demanded that Nemanja Matic be reinstated in the starting XI after resting on Thursday, with Scott McTominay making way, but want Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba to remain in the squad.

The latest change fans want to see is in offense, with young Mason Greenwood being in favor of Daniel James. If they succeed, the Welshman will join Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford in attack.

XI of Manchester United supporters against Chelsea: Romero; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Williams; Fernandes, Matic, Pogba; James, Martial, Rashford.
