However, the arrival of “Gamebred” on the scene is a saving grace. Usman’s director Ali Abdelaziz also commented on the same thing via Twitter.
I am happy @ USMAN84kg for a replacement opponent and I am also heartbroken for @GilbertDurinho, he is still the competitor n ° 1

Ali was very excited about the fight when the UFC initially planned it. But, Jorge seemed to disagree with the UFC regarding his combat handbag. Failing to reach common ground, Jorge has declared that he will not participate in the title fight. And that’s when Burns came on the scene.
Masvidal even said he would be fine if the UFC released him from his contract. Yet he came to save the day when all hopes for a welterweight title sank into thin air following the unfortunate news about “Durinho”.
Jorge Masvidal defines “Gamebred” as he approaches and saves the day
Shortly after Gilbert Burns’ disappearance, Masvidal tweeted a photo that defined his nickname, “Gamebred”. According to the definition-
Gamebred is an animal that was bred to be game.

Of course, the timing of the Tweet generated a plethora of speculation. While some thought it was just a general Tweet, others had the idea of a massive main event. Well, it’s obvious that those who had this latest school of thought were right.
Masvidal and Usman have one, if not most, of the bitter rivalries in the sport. Their arguments even surfaced at SuperBowl Radio, where the two threatened each other.
So this Saturday, in just six days, we will witness one of the most epic rivalries inside the Octagon. Two of the most brutal welterweights with a personal vendetta, a title holder, a celebration champion. A total war to come.
Who do you think will come out triumphant?
