Hull KR and Hull FC to travel to France as Catalan Dragons confirm home schedule

Hull FC and Hull KR will both travel to France in October to face the Catalan Dragons in the Super League. With the global pandemic still leading to travel restrictions, questions have arisen as to whether the Catalans could play Perpignan this season.

However, the French club have announced their intention to play seven games at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium, becoming the first Super League team to confirm their home schedule, with their first return fixture in France being a visit from Leeds Rhinos on September 7.

To avoid excessive travel, the Catalans will play group home games with two games to come in a week in September, before returning home in October for five consecutive home games.

Hull KR will be the first East Yorkshire team to make the trip, with their visit scheduled for Friday 9 October.

Hull FC will travel two weeks later for their game against Steve McNamara’s side on Thursday 22 October.
