“It’s stupid right now, to be honest,” joked Slater. “But it was just something that had to be done. You know, me and Drew, we go back. He’s one of my brothers and he promised me something, you know, and I wanted him, so I confronted him and thank you my God, it happened, but again, you know, it is the man, he is the champion, he is my best friend. A brother inside and outside the ring. I’m pretty sure he still loves me after helping me, he hugged me. I hope anyway because he’s a bad guy. But no, it was a beautiful conclusion of a chapter. So let’s see what the future brings me. ”

McIntyre tweeted after the show and commented on the angle.

“Heath is my brother, something I realize now that you’ve never been a Dolph. I felt sorry for you at first, but after this blow tonight, I’m going to hurt you badly. Extreme rules can’t come soon enough, “he wrote.

Slater also tweeted and wrote, “I love you all. Thank you my friend my brother @DMcIntyreWWE »

McIntyre replied to this tweet with a heart emoji.
