‘Halloween Kills’ has officially been pushed back to October 2021 [Teaser]

John Carpenter took to social media this afternoon to make the unfortunate (but expected) announcement that Halloween tue don’t go out this Halloween season anymore.Instead, the sequel to 2018 Halloween will be released now October 15, 2021.

An official statement written by John Carpenter and director David Gordon Green reads as follows: “If we release it in October of this year as planned, we have to face the reality that the film would be consumed in a compromised theatrical experience. After weighing our options, we chose to postpone the release of the film for one year. ”

In a perfect world, the plan was to Halloween tue will be out in 2020 and for trilogy-ender End of halloween to be released a year later, in 2021. Alas, this world is far from perfect.

End of halloween will be released on October 14, 2022.
