Ghislaine Maxwell pleads to stop the “intimate evidence” | News


Lawyers for Ghislaine Maxwell have asked a judge to halt the publication of the transcripts containing “intimate information about her personal life” last night, a day before their publication.

Judge Loretta Presca dismissed the “eleventh hour” request, but granted a delay until Monday, so that Ms Maxwell’s lawyers could appeal.

Ms Maxwell, 58, who has been accused of caring for underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein, is fighting to stop the publication of a statement she made in April 2016 in a civil lawsuit against her by one of her alleged victims.

Virginia Giuffre, who claims to have been trafficked into Prince Andrew by Epstein, sued Ms Maxwell for libel. The case was settled in 2017 and the Duke of York
