Franco-Tunisian tycoon plans to reunite Ronaldo and Zidane – Middle East Monitor

Football legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane could be reunited by potential new Marseille owner Mohamed Ayachi Ajroudi. The Franco-Tunisian businessman has expressed his interest in uniting the duo who enjoyed three years of unprecedented success at Real Madrid before Ronaldo’s departure in 2018 for his current club Juventus. Zidane also left his role as director the same year. The French football club Olympique de Marseille currently belongs to the American magnate Frank McCourt, but negotiations to sell the club to Ajroudi have started, according to reports in France.

Ajroudi has big plans to bring the club to the top of French football by taking Ronaldo and the current Real Madrid boss Zidane to the Stade VĂ©lodrome. The 68-year-old man looks to the future and has already thought of huge names to bring.

“One player I will never forget is Cristiano Ronaldo,” said Ajroudi, speaking to the French newspaper El Figaro. “I like respect and discipline and he embodies that.”

“Do I dream of him in Marseille? Everything is possible in life. It is a dream that excites me. ”

Ajroudi was also asked about bringing Zidane on board to reunite Ronaldo and the Frenchman, and he remained shy saying, “We will see what happens in the future. ”

With Marseille finishing second in Ligue 1 last season and obtaining qualification for the Champions League next season under the leadership of Andre Villas-Boas, the probability of attracting Zidane and Ronaldo to the club is not as impossible as it may seem if the right case can be found.
