Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin firmly denies the rape charge and an investigation is underway. The new Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti is a lawyer who defended a member of the government accused of rape and sexual assault, and ridiculed the women who spoke through the #MeToo movement.
