PARIS (Reuters) – The number of deaths in France due to the new coronavirus increased by 14 compared to the previous day to 29,979, the country’s health department announced on Thursday.
The number of people in intensive care units fell to 512 from 529 on Wednesday, continuing a downward trend in recent weeks, the ministry said.
France has the sixth global death toll from the pandemic.
