Fox said Tucker Carlson would raise the subject on his show on Monday

A renowned writer for Fox News host Tucker Carlson has resigned after posting racist and sexist comments online.

Blake Neff, who joined Tucker Carlson Tonight in 2017, resigned Friday after a CNN investigation.

He found that Mr. Neff regularly used highly offensive language on an online forum called AutoAdmit by the name of CharlesXII.

Fox News called the messages “horrible and deeply offensive.” Mr. Carlson has not yet commented.

What did the messages say?

There were many messages under the pseudonym, including derogatory comments from African Americans, Asian Americans and women.

These included: “The black griffins who stay indoors playing Call of Duty is probably one of the biggest factors limiting crime” and “honestly, given how tired black people always pretend to be , maybe the real crisis is their lack of sleep. “

  • Fox News violated UK broadcasting rules
  • Nigel Farage hired by Fox News as a political analyst

He also maintained a wire harassing a woman and published information about her personal life.

The messages were revealed after CNN was informed that CharlesXII was in fact Mr. Neff. They were able to identify him by associating the content of his messages with public information concerning him.

What did Fox say?

“Neff’s heinous conduct on this forum was never disclosed on the show or on the network until Friday, when we quickly accepted his resignation,” the network said in an internal memo.

“Make no mistake, actions like his cannot and will not be tolerated at any time in any part of our workforce. ”

Fox said Mr. Carlson would raise the subject on his show on Monday. The conservative broadcaster called Mr. Neff a “wonderful writer” in the past.

In a recent interview with Dartmouth Alumni Magazine, Mr. Neff stated that when Mr. Carlson had read the scripts from his teleprompter, “the first draft was written by me”.
