A Florida man was fired from his job as an insurance agent after his videotaped tirade when asked to wear a face mask at a Costco Wholesale store drew a large following on social media.Video posted on Twitter Monday shows a man in flip-flops and a red t-shirt with the words “Running the world since 1776” shouting in the store after apparently asking why he was not wearing a face covering, as required in all Costco Pitches.

Shouting “I feel threatened,” “backing off,” and worse, the man swerved threateningly toward an employee who came to the aid of an elderly woman who had asked her about her lack of face coverings. .

The Fort Myers Costco incident occurred on June 26 and involved a man later identified by several news organizations like Daniel Maples, an insurance agent for Ted Todd Insurance.
