PARIS (Reuters) – Firefighters were battling a blaze that broke out early Saturday morning inside the cathedral in the city of Nantes, western France, local firefighters said on Twitter.

Television images showed smoke coming from the 15th century structure. The fire comes just over a year after a major fire in Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, which destroyed its main spire.
