Disney + launches preview of new Marvel series


Disney + has released a preview of the new Marvel series Marvel’s 616, the new documentary series that will debut on the streaming service this fall. This preview comes in the form of two clips: the first clip is from Community Gillian Jacobs star’s episode “Higher, Further, Faster,” which examines the impact of Marvel Comics’ women. You can watch this clip above. The second clip of Marvel’s 616 comes from the episode “Lost and Found” who sees comedian / actor Paul Scheer (The League, how did it come about? podcast) exploring the ‘forgotten’ characters of Marvel Comics. ‘Marvel’s 616’ explores how Marvel’s rich legacy of stories, characters and creators exists in the world outside your window. Each documentary, directed by a unique filmmaker, explores the intersections of storytelling, pop culture, and fandom within the Marvel Universe. The films in this anthology series will cover topics such as global Marvel artists, female Marvel Comics pioneers, discovering Marvel’s “forgotten” characters, and much more.
