Alberta Education Minister hints at almost normal return to school in September; more details on the reopening plan next Tuesday

Weeks before the start of the school year, Education Minister Adriana LaGrange told the province’s teachers’ association that she plans to allow schools to reopen for grades K-12. Grade 12 in near normal operations.

In a July 14 letter to Alberta Teachers Association president Jason Schilling, LaGrange said, based on information available to her ministry, she expects classes to resume in person. in September with health measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 – the first of three scenarios being considered.
