COVID-19 cases reported in Kenora area


Northwestern Health Unit provides some details announcing first new case since July 9

KENORA – The North West Health Unit reported on Sunday a new confirmed case of COVID-19 in the Kenora health center.The health unit did not provide any further details about the case, which it announced via Facebook, only stating that a follow-up with the individual was underway, and “anyone identified as a contact for this case will be contacted directly. ”

The Kenora Health Center encompasses a large part of the region, including many First Nations.

This is the first case reported by the Northwestern Health Unit, which covers the Rainy River District and part of the Kenora District, since July 9.

The health unit has now reported a total of 43 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with all new cases except Sunday being considered resolved.
