Coronation StreetSarah Platt finds herself covering up for a killer next week following her big stunt scene.

Sarah (Tina O’Brien) is about to have a near-death experience when she finally discovers the dark secret kept by her ex-partner Gary Windass.

As we’ve previously revealed, Sarah calls 999 and rushes off when she realizes Gary (Mikey North) has killed loan shark Rick Neelan.

Sarah runs into the path of an oncoming car, prompting Gary to step in to save her. She escapes unharmed, but Gary is injured.

With Sarah shaken and Gary cold, Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) calls an ambulance after witnessing it all.

After Gary is taken in for emergency treatment, Sarah, her husband Adam (Samuel Robertson) and Gary’s fiancee Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) all reunite in the hospital alongside Tyrone.

Sarah chooses to give a false version of events, claiming that she was on the phone, stepped out in front of a vehicle and that Gary saved her life.

Tyrone’s memory is very different, explaining that he saw Sarah running and Gary chasing her. Wanting to protect him after his heroic act, Sarah insists that Gary wasn’t chasing her and that his presence was a total coincidence.

Adam senses Sarah is not telling the truth, but decides to keep his suspicions silent for now.

He also tells the police that Sarah is too shaken to make a statement, but is it only a matter of time before she tells them her lies?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday July 29 and Friday July 31 at 7:30 p.m. on ITV.
