He told Sky Sports: “Overall, as a threat, Giroud was definitely the man of the match.
“I think at the start of the season Tammy started playing, scoring goals, Giroud was a bit of a player at the time.

“I think he has won back the group. When you see a senior player training hard, the younger players benefit and he still has chances.
Giroud signed a one-year contract extension in May to keep him at Chelsea until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The World Cup winner seemed set to leave the club in January amidst interest from Inter Milan and Tottenham, but the lack of alternative options led Chelsea to keep the experienced striker.
Giroud regained his place on the side following an injury to Tammy Abraham and had proven to be a useful asset in the weeks preceding the suspension of the season in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.
