Earlier this week reported that WWE had renewed its trademark “Cody Rhodes”, although Rhodes himself attempted to claim ownership of it in April. Speaking to social media, Rhodes said he would not let hiccups stop anything.
On Twitter, Rhodes responded to a tweet about the situation, saying the problem was not as outrageous as many might claim. According to Rhodes, he knows it’s just business and that WWE knows it can make money with the Rhodes brand. However, although WWE retains ownership of the brand, Rhodes said it wouldn’t stop anything and that he had no hard feelings.
It’s not as sensual / outrageous as reported. It’s just business. They saw the same data as us, and they know that they can make a lot of money with the brand (even if it is not at home). Trying to license me is flattering, but that doesn’t stop that train from moving. No hard feelings. https://t.co/7pkPtU1Cry
