Calgary police are investigating a car and motorcycle accident


CALGARY – A 23-year-old man was rushed to hospital with multiple traumatic injuries after his motorcycle collided with a car in southwest Calgary on Saturday morning. Police and EMS were called to the scene at the intersection of 17th Avenue and Sarcee SW Trail around 8:40 a.m.

The motorcyclist was heading east on 17th Avenue Southwest as it approached the intersection of Sarcee Trail Southwest. According to police, a Subaru Impreza driven by a 34-year-old woman left to the left of the 17th avenue and the motorcycle hit the passenger side of the Subaru.

The driver of the car was not injured in the accident, but EMS said the motorcyclist suffered serious and potentially fatal injuries.
