BTS Song ‘Your Eyes Tell’ Debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Global Digital Song Sales Chart

BTS continues to make waves with Japanese studio album Soul Map: 7 ~ The Journey ~. With “Your Eyes Tell,” a track from the B-side of the album, BTS hit its 21st number one song on Billboard’s worldwide digital song sales chart.

BTS just released their new Japanese album

Korean group is out Soul Map: 7 ~ The Journey ~ on July 14, 2020. Before it was even announced, ARMY suspected that the band would be releasing a Japanese studio album in 2020, as they typically release a Japanese studio album every two years.

They released their first Japanese album Wake up on December 24, 2014. The band’s second Japanese studio album Youth fallen on September 7, 2016. Before Soul Map: 7 ~ The Journey ~, their last Japanese album was In front of you, and it was released on April 4, 2018.

When not releasing full albums, the band frequently releases singles and Japanese versions of their songs in Korean. In 2019, they released a Japanese single titled “Lights” with Japanese versions of their songs “Boy With Luv” and “IDOL”.

Soul Map: 7 ~ The Journey ~ includes 13 tracks with five original Japanese songs: “INTRO: Calling”, “Stay Gold”, “Lights”, “Your Eyes Tell” and “OUTRO: The Journey”. The album features eight Japanese versions of BTS’s Korean-language songs: “Boy With Luv”, “Make It Right”, “Dionysus”, “Idol”, “Airplane Pt. 2,” Fake Love “,” Black Swan ” and we “.

“Your Eyes Tell” has reached several milestones

Sure Soul Map: 7 ~ The Journey ~, “Stay Gold” is the first single, and it will be the theme song of the Japanese drama Rasen no Meikyū (Helical Labyrinth). “Your Eyes Tell” is a track from the B-side of the album and it will be the theme song for a Japanese film of the same name which will be released in October 2020.

Soul Map: 7 ~ The Journey ~ debuted at No. 1 on Oricon’s Daily Albums chart with 447,869 copies sold in 24 hours, setting a record for first-day sales by a Korean artist in Japan. In North America, the album debuted at # 115 on the Billboard 200 chart and # 2 on Billboard’s Global Albums chart.

“Your Eyes Tell” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales, and is the band’s 21st song to reach No. 1 on the charts. The song also reached No. 1 on iTunes worldwide, becoming BTS’s second song to do so. BTS song “Black Swan” currently has 104 number 1s on iTunes charts worldwide, and V solo song “Sweet Night” holds the record for most number 1s with 110.

BTS fans are super proud of the group

“Your Eyes Tell” quickly became one of the most popular songs in BTS’s discography. ARMY loves the ballad for its message encouraging to keep persevering in the dark times. Jungkook composed and co-wrote the song, and fans are proud of his work and what BTS has accomplished with the song.

“It’s not easy to map in Japan, and I’m proud of the bts and J-armys,” one fan tweeted.

“Your eyes say it’s such a hit and I hope jungkook sees all of these accomplishments… I’m so proud,” wrote one Twitter user.
