Brave catchers Tyler Flowers and Travis d’Arnaud with viral symptoms

The Atlanta Braves will be without their top two catchers, Tyler Flowers and Travis d’Arnaud, for Friday’s opener at the New York Mets after both players showed symptoms of the coronavirus.Manager Brian Snitker said on Friday that Flowers and Arnaud had tested negative for COVID-19 but had not traveled with the team because they were showing symptoms. Snitker said he didn’t know what the symptoms were and hoped the two just had “a bad cold”.

Snitker said the team were cautious because “we had guys who tested negative and the next day they tested positive. “
