Boohoo boss’s son, 20, found dead at home after failing to get up to work


The 20-year-old son of Boohoo’s CEO has died at his home.An investigation has been opened into the death of Louis Lyttle after he was found unresponsive and no longer breathing at his home in Seal near Sevenoaks.

Louis’s father is John Lyttle who runs the online fashion store after joining the retailer in March 2019.

The investigation at Maidstone County Hall revealed that Louis was born in Galway, Ireland, and worked as a digital marketer before being found dead earlier this year.

After failing to get up for work at 5 a.m. on Monday, April 20, Mr. Lyttle was found unresponsive and not breathing.

Sadly, he was pronounced dead at his home in Seal by paramedics at 6:20 a.m.

At the opening held by Coroner Alan Blunsdon, the cause of death was morphine toxicity.

A full investigation has been postponed until September 24.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Louis was an alumnus of King’s School in Canterbury, studied business administration at Cardiff University and also worked at Boohoo since July of last year.

He had previously completed an internship with a banking company, Investec, and health insurers, Religare, according to LinkedIn.

Mr. Lyttle has been approached about his son’s death but does not wish to comment.
