Arsenal XI vs Watford: squad news confirmed, roster planned, latest injuries for Premier League game

With an FA Cup final against Chelsea on the horizon, Mikel Arteta has a dilemma over his squad selection for Arsenal’s clash with Watford.

The Spaniard has vowed Arsenal will give their all out of respect to the relegation battle, but will be tempted to rest the players ahead of the Gunners’ trip to Wembley the following weekend.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of those who could be absent. The forward is chasing the Premier League’s golden boot, but it is vital that he is fit to face Chelsea.

In midfield Dani Ceballos needs a well-deserved break and Ainsley Maitland-Niles is hoping for another chance to impress at the back.

In defense, Arteta is hampered by an injury to Shkodran Mustafi – meaning he will miss the game with Watford on Sunday and possibly the FA Cup final next week on Saturday too.

As a result, Arteta can field his three first-choice full-backs, unless he chooses to give Sokratis a first start since the lockdown ended.

Arsenal predicted XI against Watford (3-4-3): Martinez; Holding, Luiz, Tierney; Bellerin, Torreira, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles; Pepe, Nketiah, Saka
