- New benchmarks in Oxygen OS point to a OnePlus phone powered by the Snapdragon 690.
- The device apparently contains the internal code name Billie.
- OnePlus previously confirmed that future products in the Nord line would arrive in the United States.
OnePlus has just launched the North, marking the firm’s first mid-range smartphone in a long time. However, it looks like the company may be working on another budget phone.
XDA Developers dug into Oxygen OS 10.5 for the North and discovered references to “SM6350” products in the settings APK file. Specifically, SM6350 is the part number of the recently released Snapdragon 690 5G processor.
This chipset is the first 5G SoC in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 series, while also offering an octacore design (2x Cortex-A77 and 6x Cortex-A55) and up to 60% graphics increase over the Snapdragon 675. You also get under -6Ghz 5G rather than the faster but more capricious mmWave standard.
Additionally, the team also found references to an upcoming phone named “Billie,” along with four corresponding model numbers. These model numbers are BE2025, BE2026, BE2028 and BE2029. That doesn’t necessarily mean there will be four separate models, notes the outlet. But that could theoretically refer to slightly different SKUs or regional variants.

XDA Developers Also thinks Billie’s codename might refer to musician Billie Eilish, as OnePlus allegedly used Avicii’s internal codename for the North (after the late Swedish DJ).
It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve heard of a supposed OnePlus phone with a Snapdragon 690 processor. A Geekbench listing for a OnePlus phone allegedly containing this chipset surfaced earlier this month, but those references are notoriously easy. to usurp. Nonetheless, this latest news combined with the Geekbench listing with model number BE2028 suggests that another device is in the works.
OnePlus has also previously confirmed to Android Authority that the United States would get “the future products of the North line”. So it’s entirely possible that the aforementioned phone is the one the US will get. I guess we’ll just have to wait for OnePlus to endlessly tease the phone.
