Amber Heard on Tuesday denied fabricating injuries to show then-husband Johnny Depp had been violent towards her as she walked to the witness box for her second day of evidence in the defamation case of Depp against a British tabloid for allegations of domestic violence.

At Britain’s High Court in London, Depp’s lawyer Eleanor Laws sought to show via a series of video clips from an elevator in the couple’s apartment building in Los Angeles that Heard fabricated a injury following an incident that occurred on May 21, 2016 that ended. with the police arriving at the scene. Laws also questioned why other people in the building hadn’t noticed injuries in the days that followed.

The actress alleged that Depp, 57, threw a phone at her “like he’s a baseball pitcher” that night, hitting her in the right cheek and eye.

Heard, 34, denied the allegation that she was making things up and said she wore makeup when leaving the house, which could have covered up any injuries.

“Of course I had an injury,” she says.

Heard also denied having had an “illicit relationship” with anyone during his time with Depp, particularly with Tesla CEO Elon Musk or actor James Franco. “It’s not that it matters a lot,” Heard said.

The court is reviewing Depp’s libel lawsuit against The Sun newspaper for an April 2018 article that called him a “wife beater” for allegedly abusing Heard. Depp, 57, sued Sun editor, News Group Newspapers, and newspaper editor Dan Wootton for the article. The Hollywood star firmly denies abusing Heard and was in court to hear from his ex-wife.

On Monday, during her first day of testimony, she accused her ex-husband of physically and verbally abusing her while engaging in binge drinking, claiming that at different times of their tumultuous relationship, she feared for her life.

Depp and Heard met on the set of the 2011 comedy “The Rum Diary,” and officially became a couple a year later. They were married in Los Angeles in February 2015. Heard filed for divorce the following year, and it was finalized in 2017.

In the first nine days of testimony in the High Court, Judge Andrew Nicol heard from Depp and several current and former employees who supported his side of events.

In his testimony, Depp said it was he who was mistreated by Heard and that she had a history of violence against him.

“You make it up as you go along every now and then,” Laws said of Heard.

Via audio recordings of the couple discussing various incidents that were played out in court, Depp’s attorney sought to show Heard admitted that she had been violent against Depp.

Heard said any contact during their altercations was purely legitimate.

“That’s what happens when you’re in this situation, it’s the truth,” she said. “I knew better than to fight with him over the details of the fight and what he saw as injuries. My job was to say sorry, get it on track, and move on to bigger things.

She also denied the allegation that she, or a friend of hers, defecated on the couple’s bed the morning after Heard’s 30th birthday party in April 2016.

“It’s absolutely disgusting,” Heard said. “I can’t imagine what an adult would do such a thing. ”

Heard said the droppings came from one of their Yorkshire Terriers, Pistol and Boo, but that Boo had been having problems since allegedly eating Depp’s marijuana as a puppy, or “from the weed.”

In written testimony made public in court, Heard said that several times during their relationship she suffered “punches, slaps, kicks, butts and choking.” She said that “some of the incidents were so serious that I was afraid he would kill me, either intentionally or just by losing control and going too far.”

According to Heard, Depp “explicitly threatened to kill me on several occasions, especially later in our relationship.” She said he blamed his actions on “a self-created third party” whom he called “the monster.”

Heard’s testimony is expected to last four days, until Thursday.
