$ 5,000 reward given to suspects in assault on Starbucks barista in Lancaster after being asked to wear a mask


LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) – Lancaster officials are asking the public for help in locating two suspects linked to the attack on a Starbucks barista.The two entered the Starbucks on West Avenue on June 4 without masks, despite signs advising customers of the requirement.When the employee approached them and asked them to put on a mask, one of the men allegedly punched the victim in the face, causing the employee’s jaw to fracture, according to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station of the Los Angeles County. The two men fled the scene.

The town of Lancaster is now offering a reward of $ 5,000 to anyone who helps authorities identify and locate suspects.

“I am deeply saddened and angered by the assault,” Mayor Rex Perris said in a statement. “Our nation is in crisis, the time has come for our community to come together. This behavior is despicable and we need your help to identify these men so that justice can be done. ”

The assailant is six feet two inches tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds. The second suspect is about six feet six inches tall and weighs about 245 pounds.
