“It’s a very romantic and very sweet story,” the Post actress said. “It starts in New Orleans at Mardi Gras, where all the great love stories begin. I was there with friends. It was an incredible matchmaking made by my friend Jules. ”
Her friend secretly texted Brie over dinner with Franco, asking if she wanted to hook up with him, and she “replied, like, ‘Yes, please. Thumbs up. Thumbs up. Thumbs up.’ ”
After seeing his messages, Franco apparently said, ‘I’m in it,’ Brie explaining their secret getaway: ‘It was the perfect setup, as we both got to leave the restaurant (and) go to the evening to drink and debauchery having, like, a sexy secret that we knew the other person was on board.
According to the star, they spent “48 hours drugging and getting fucked”, and then picked up things in New York, after their Mardi Gras experience, where Franco was making a movie. They got engaged in 2015 and got married two years later.
In addition to their personal relationship, the couple also teamed up for the new movie The Rental, with Brie starring and Franco directing. It opens in theaters and is available on request on July 24.
