Terrence Ferguson made his decision on Sunday afternoon. When he did, the Peach County High School All-American first shared his college decision on his Instagram account. The decision included a Crimson “A” laser script and an edition that noted the Alabama state line and the traditional slogan “Sweet Home Alabama”.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound 4-star prospect had decided to play for the Crimson Tide.

Ferguson had been a priority target for Georgia during the 2021 cycle. He had been in Athens several times. In the end, he decides to join an Alabama program that has picked up three hopes for an elite offensive line in the past few days.

The Crimson Tide added the Brockermeyer twins earlier this week. These two brothers were heirs to Texas, but also chose to play for Nick Saban.

Alabama now associates these two, with the elite hope OT JC Latham of the IMG Academy, with a catch from an OL from Georgia.

Ferguson ranks as the country’s No.2 OG prospect and 47th overall rookie for 2021 on the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Ferguson now becomes the 15th entry in the Crimson Tide 2021 class. With the addition of Ferguson, he maintains Alabama’s ranking on the 247Sports Team Composite rating scale, which is # 2 nationally.

He is the fifth highest ranked rookie in the Alabama class so far. Saban and his staff have so far claimed pledges of a few goals that Georgia were chasing in the 2021 cycle. Ferguson and South Florida pass the also highly regarded UGA rusher Dallas Turner for several periods of their recruiting.

Ferguson had even kept a video of one of the first recruiting visits to Georgia as a pinned tweet for a while. He also sported a UGA graphic edition at the top of his Twitter page on the day of his engagement in Alabama.

Check out the Crimson Tide O-line class so far:

  • Tommy Brockermeyer/ OL 5 stars / N ° 1 national OT / No. 5 global perspectives at national level
  • JC Latham/ 5-star OL / Nation’s No.5 OT / No. 17 global perspectives at national level
  • Terrence Ferguson/ OL 4 stars / Nation’s No. 2 OG / No. 42 global perspective at national level
  • James Brockermeyer/ OL 4 stars / Nation’s No. 1 C / No. 188 global perspective at national level

Georgia is also building a solid O-line class for the 2021 cycle. Learn about the work of offensive line coach Matt Luke so far in 2021.

  • Micah Morris/ OL 4 stars / Nation’s No. 9 OT / No. 57 global perspectives at national level
  • Dylan Fairchild/ OL 4 stars / Nation’s No. 9 OG / No. 133 global perspective at national level

Ferguson’s decision now tailors the August 15 decision for the Bleckley County 5-star OT Amarius Mims. Mims has long favored both Alabama and Georgia for its possible academic choice. While Georgia has signed four All-Americans in its seven-prospect offensive line class in 2020, the Bulldogs will still look to continue adding a prototype future left tackle to Mims and at least one other versatile hybrid type of tackle guard. in this cycle.

Another name to watch out for on the other side of the offensive line for the 2021 class in Athens is Noah Josey, a 4-star OL from the state of Tennessee.
