In a press release, Parc Saint-Paul said: “The firefighters intervened and tried to resuscitate the victim. No one else was injured. ”
The woman fell from the park’s Formula 1 race, in which another woman died in 2009, according to reports.
She was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
A spokesperson for Parc Saint-Paul told Mirror Online that the accident occurred at 1:45 p.m.
They added that the park had expressed its “deepest sadness” after the event.
The full press release states: “Parc Saint Paul informs you that an accident occurred this Saturday, July 4, 2020 on the Formula 1 attraction.
“A passenger fell from the rolling vehicle onto the roller coaster attraction while it was in service. The accident occurred around 1:45 p.m.
“After intervention by the park teams to secure the perimeter and take care of the victim, an immediate call was made to obtain medical care.
“After arriving at the scene, a firefighter team assisted by a Smur team tried in vain to resuscitate the victim who unfortunately died instantly. No one else was injured in the accident.
“The park area has been completely cut off for visitors. The park teams took care of the visitors and the families concerned.
“The SDIS and national gendarmerie rescue services are on hand to assist us in this event and the entire park team is at their disposal to collaborate with them following this accident.
“The media will be kept informed as soon as new information becomes known; safety is the park’s highest priority. All the teams join the family to express their deep sadness following this event. ”
