The catch? Due to the production disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the first six episodes will end with a “mid-season finale” broadcast on Sunday, August 30, Syfy said. (Production of the final six episodes of season 4 is expected to resume later this summer in Calgary.)

In Season 4, “the infamous ear curse is broken, and witty and savage demon hunter Wynonna Earp would love to celebrate with cold whiskey and hot donuts,” reads the official synopsis. “Too bad she has to save everyone she loves, save the city of Purgatory and face her most evil and hateful enemy to date – all without her trusted weapon, Peacemaker. And it’s only Monday… ”
Wynonna Earp finished season 3 in September 2018. In February 2019, it was revealed that production for season 4 had been delayed due to financial difficulties from producer IDW Entertainment. Pre-production finally started in late 2019, after Cineflix Studios came on board to co-produce season 4, while Cineflix Rights managed international sales for the series.
