Toddler May Have Rare Syndrome in Response to COVID-19

More than a month after being tested positive for COVID-19, a toddler from Winnipeg is battling another disease – a possible rare inflammatory syndrome that could be part of the body’s reaction to new viruses.

The girl’s mother told CBC News that doctors are trying to find out if the one-year-old had developed Kawasaki disease or multi-systemic inflammatory disease in children, now that it is negative for COVID-19 but that she is still seriously ill.
