The raptors always the intention to begin training in Florida next week

The Toronto Raptors are still planning to begin training in Florida next week in spite of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the state, Sportsnet’s Michael Grange is reporting.

Grange adds that the members of the Raptors should start arriving in Naples, florida., on Sunday and Monday, and all players will be required to report for mandatory testing on Tuesday.

Florida has reported 3,822 tests positive Friday, according to CNN, a new record. The previous record was set Thursday, and the state has seen a spike of cases for most of the month of June.

On Friday, the Tampa Bay Lightning, Philadelphia Phillies and the Toronto Blue Jays stopped Florida facilities after several cases of people who test or exposure to COVID-19 symptoms.

Phase 2 of the NBA Back to the Game plan is scheduled for Tuesday with all the teams, except the Raptors to their city of origin for the tests and to engage in isolated training sessions. Since the border between Canada and the united States remains closed to non-essential travel and many birds of Prey, the employees have been put in quarantine in the UNITED states, the team will instead report directly to the Florida and to hold their training camp there.

The NBA regular season is scheduled to return on the 30th of July at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., with 22 teams each play eight games to determine the seeding for the playoffs.
