PARIS (Reuters) – The French president Emmanuel Macron will discuss security issues, including Ukraine, Libya, and Iran, with Russian Vladimir Putin during a video call Friday, said the Elysée.
“It is necessary to make further progress in the programme of crisis, in particular in Ukraine “, said the Elysee in a statement Wednesday.
Macron has called on Europe to reconsider its strategic partnership with Russia, claiming that a policy of defiance toward Moscow in recent years had failed.
