The first US television show to resume production after the industry-wide shutdown is again on hiatus.
Love glory and beauty stopped production after just one day back at work to expand its coronavirus tests, according to our sister site Variety. The CBS daytime soap now aims to resume filming next Tuesday, June 23.
“We took a very brief break to modify our testing protocol to better respond to the large number of tests required,” producers of Bell-Phillip Television said in a statement. “Safety remains our top priority as we continue to progress with the production of Love glory and beauty. B & b filmed with the actors and the crew today, and it was a successful first day back at work. ”
The soap opera was the first scripted series to return to work here in the United States after a three-month hiatus due to the global coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed the lives of almost 120,000 Americans to date. “The health and safety of our actors and our team are paramount to us”, B & b representative at TVLine at the time. “We will follow all the protocols established by the state, the city, the city of television and the various guilds.”
Before the break, new episodes of Love glory and beauty are expected to start broadcasting on CBS next month. The long-running drama missed new episodes in April and has been repeating since. CBS renewed the series in May for two more years, during the 2021-2022 television season.
