The “air bridges” plan is set to involve less than ten countries, giving tourists the possibility of traveling between them and the united KINGDOM this summer with a mandatory 14-day quarantine.

A total of 12 countries, including Greece, Spain, Portugal and France are in the process of being reviewed with officials of the examination at the time the risk of travellers bringing Covid-19 return and the popularity of the destination.

For the moment, any traveller arriving in the UK – that of great Britain or a tourist has to quarantine for 14 days and provide their phone number and an address for self-isolation.

The “air bridge” rules come into play on July 4 and will probably be announced on the 29th of June. But it will only go ahead if the chief medical officer provides tips on each nation and the Foreign Office has withdrawn its non-essential travel ban to the nations in question.

A second plan, which could reduce the need for quarantine and revive the travel industry post-lockdown, is the possibility of coronavirus tests for arrivals in the airports of the united KINGDOM, The Times reports.

A trial is scheduled to take place at the airport in the UK next month and will be managed by Swissconsent port and the Collinson Group.

The nurses will administer free and optional nose pads on those who are eager to take part. The saliva tests will also be put to the test at the airport – which has not yet been named.
