Tesco changes its queue rules for customers who buy in rainy weather

Tesco has changed its rules for shoppers who must queue before entering their stores while it is raining.

The supermarket announced the changes as rainy weather swept the northeast.

Instead of lining up in front of stores, Tesco says it could ask people to wait in their cars, reports Manchester Evening News.

A statement on the company’s website says, “If it’s raining or it’s particularly cold, we may ask you to stay in your car to queue – we’ll let you know when you can get in. “

If you want to avoid the queues, it’s a good idea to check out the quietest time to shop at Tesco.

Overall, Tesco stores tend to follow the same model.

Although reasonably busy on Monday afternoons, with an average of 13 hours being listed as the most popular time with a wait of up to 20 minutes, weekdays tend to be quieter than weekends .

The best times to go from Monday to Thursday are before 11 a.m. and after 4 p.m.

Fridays are considerably busier than the previous four days, peaking around 1 p.m. and Wednesdays after 3 p.m. are the quietest for buyers – with a wait of less than 10 minutes.
