Tan France, Queer Eye star, becomes an American citizen and promises to vote for change

Tan France is now American.

The 37-year-old British star of Netflix’s Queer Eye revealed on Tuesday that he had become a US citizen.

“A few minutes ago, I officially became an American citizen !! For me, it’s monumental. It’s something I’ve been working on for 20 years, which makes it even more emotional, ”he wrote on Instagram.

France added: “And now I will exercise my constitutional right as an American. Today I’m going to register to vote, and vote for the change I want to see in OUR nation. ”

Colleagues from Queer Eye praised him in the comments section.

Jonathan Van Ness said, “There is no word or phrase that I have strong enough to say how happy, proud and strong you are. I don’t have strong enough words. I love you so much. ”

France was born in England to Pakistani parents and started working in the United States in 2008. He now lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, with her husband, Rob France, nurse and illustrator. They were married in 2007.
