Steph Curry explains what people need to do to create change

Steph Curry is disgusted by what happened to George Floyd.

The death of George Floyd at the hands of the police caused widespread outrage, and rightly so. Today, protests continue to rage across the United States and people are looking for both timely answers and solutions. Unfortunately, our leaders don’t seem to care about all of this right now.

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has always talked about injustices and recently shared his thoughts on what was going on with regard to the Floyd protests. As reported by NBC Sports Bay Area, Curry explained how people can seriously affect change and how it will mean becoming uncomfortable for a little while.

“It’s just crazy, how many examples do you need,” said Curry. “This one, I discovered [Stephen Jackson]. He posts like crazy trying to make sure his partner is remembered the right way and that they remember his name and he took it on his back. But until people from outside our community speak up, use their platform, feel uncomfortable, and actually experience some type of emotional change in problems, we’re just going to be in the same situation. For me, that’s what I’ve been watching on social media if we can really find solutions. To raise your voice and go mad and angry and you hate to do it over and over again, but we had to find solutions to this problem and they must be responsible for it. “

Curry’s words certainly ring true especially with the way the protests have subsided. People have left their homes in large numbers to protest against the injustice and it seems that many are ready to fight this battle for weeks, if not months if necessary.
